On 1 0 Feb., 201 7, the MEP issued thePesticide Industrial Water Pollutant Discharge Standard (Exposure Draft), seeking for opinions of near 1 00 institutions. CCM believed that this will greatly impact Chinese glyphosate industry in the future. However, given that the standard is only suitable to the time of applying, approving and issuing the pollutant discharge permit, and the final version has not to be issued, the standard wont significantly influence the industry in the short time.
In the first half of March 201 7, the ex-works prices of glyphosate 95% TC was USD3,581 /t (RMB24,750/t), up 37.50% YoY and down 5.53% MoM. The price of glyphosate formulations also showed a downtrend.
In Jan. 201 7, Chinas export volume of glyphosate TC was up by 21 .37% MoM and 1 9.40% YoY respectively.
